The Mouth of God

Yoga Science teaches that there is a point in the body called the Medulla Oblongata that is known as the “Mouth of God”, where God insulated the energy that keeps you alive. It is not a coincidence that a lot of bodily functions are controlled by this spot.

The medulla oblongata is the lowest part of the brain and the brain stem, then drops down to become the spinal cord. The medulla oblongata regulates respiration, heart rate, and digestive processes. Other activities of the medulla include control of movement, relaying of somatic sensory information from internal organs, and control of arousal and sleep.

The medulla not only affects these specific areas, but allows communication from the brain to the rest of the body. Like a doorway, the messages pass through from the lower organs and tissues up to the brain.

The top two bones in the neck, C1 (atlas) and C2 (axis) surround and protect the medulla. When these top two bones become subluxated (misaligned) they distort the neck and head causing body imbalance and put pressure on delicate nerve tissue of the medulla oblongata. The medulla oblongata is what Christopher Reeves injured when the first two bones of the neck fractured in his horse riding accident. The results were devastating.

When we adjust  the upper cervical area, we gently and safely remove the pressure from the medulla oblongata, which controls the body’s vital function. Every cell needs to be connected to the brain. When Chiropractors open the doorway from the brain to the entire body, the results are life changing. Do you know someone who has a health problem. Let them know that we can help improve their health and change their life!
